to include, for the first time at Heli-Expo, products from the Remote Site division. Although, SEI is widely recognized for its Aerial Firefighting division due to the success of the BAMBI Bucket, SEI engineers have also designed and manufacture a complete line of collapsible products for the Remote Site division, many which will appeal to helicopter operators.

SEI Industries Ltd introduces the BAMBI MAX Enhanced Valve
Delta, BC, Canada – February 26, 2019 – SEI Industries is best know for its invention of the world-famous BAMBI Bucket that now services 95% of the world’s aerial firefighting water bucket market. As the aerial firefighting product line evolves, SEI engineers continue to make improvements to the existing products based on feedback from customers in the field. The BAMBI MAX enhanced valve now includes added motor protection that maintains valve control during stall conditions, as well as a stronger 1/8″ cable, which is 4 times stronger than the previous design. The enhancements also include an improved chemical resistant bottom seal.

(SEI) is pleased to announce that Fire Ignition Resources, LLC (FIRE, LLC), based in Talladega, Alabama, is the new USA distributor for Premo PSD and Premo Fireballs. In addition to product sales and support, the Service Centre in Talladega (AL) will also provide repairs and rebuilds for the Premo PSD.
Our USA customers will continue to have quick access to Premo Ignition spheres right from the Talladega warehouse, as well as the maintenance services for Premo PSD.

As a manufacturer of certified spill containment berms, SEI Industries is pleased to announce their involvement in the new National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) for Fire, Safety and Rescue equipment with the Canadian federal government.
This contract includes supplying equipment to the Department of National Defence (DND), Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG). In this NMSO, SEI is listed under S-05: Spill Containment, Prevention and Storage.

SEI Industries chose the recent PDAC 2017 tradeshow to unveil its latest spill prevention product, the Spill Monkey. Offering a number of advantages over existing models, the Spill Money acts as a hydrocarbon capture device to prevent contaminates from a spill reaching the surrounding environment.
“With its patented filter media and unique design, Spill Monkey is a robust reliable guard for berms and a great barrier against oil and hydrocarbon contamination,” says Paul Reichard, SEI’s Remote Site/Environmental division manager.

SEI Industries is the first company in the world to manufacture collapsible fuel tanks (bladders) that are certified to a national standard by an independent accredited third-party. This certification provides assurance to users that their temporary fuel storage tanks have been constructed to meet strict standards for material properties which, in turn, provides better environmental protection, longer service life and a reduced carbon footprint.

SEI Industries’ Arctic-Shield berm liners are now Intertek-certified to meet the requirements of CAN/ULC-S668-12, making SEI the first company to manufacture a berm that meets this new standard.
What is CAN/ULC-S668-12?
CAN/ULC-S668-12 is the standard for liners used for secondary containment of above ground flammable and combustible liquid tanks. The standard sets forth minimum requirements for the material properties and performance of liners used for secondary containment under and around the area of tanks that are installed above ground for the storage of flammable and combustible liquids.

California’s wildfire crews face a unique situation – the need to conserve precious water while ensuring that an adequate supply is available for emergency response. With ocean saltwater not usable (due to corrosion of equipment), the crews must be able to access freshwater sources like rivers, reservoirs, lakes and even swimming pools. But, with low levels, access to these traditional sources can be difficult or even impossible.
