About the RainDrain

 

The RainDrain filter automatically removes rainfall and water collected inside a berm while also holding back hydrocarbons from the environment. Using gravity to filter the hydrocarbons out of rainwater, the RainDrain allows operators to safely drain overflow from their berms (berms need to remain empty to have the capacity to contain any spills). 

 

With its go-no-go filter, the RainDrain will automatically shut off when full. Featuring rugged construction and an easy-to-use filter cartridge replacement, the RainDrain is an essential addition for berms.

 

 

Features

• Filtration elements stops all target contaminates, acting as a hydrocarbon selective unit.
• Quick clip bands around the filter casing allow the filter to be easily changed in just minutes.
• Easy installation within minutes.
• Ball valve with sight glass to monitor liquid levels and content.
• Flow rates from 0.5 to 1.0 gallon per minute.
• Hydrocarbon capacity is 1.5 gallons (slow-flow) to two gallons (shutoff).
• Housing is constructed from extruded aluminum tubing (18" or 36" models).
• Discharge end features a rubber moulded cap with 3/8" discharge port.
• Feed end features a 3/4" camlock inlet.
• Components include filter casing, 8 ft. chemical hose with camlock fittings, one bulkhead fitting for the berm, ball valve with hose, sightglass and camlock fitting.
