Third annual meeting on collapsible fuel tanks and secondary containment in the North.

This meeting is a great opportunity for regulators, industry and land owners to discuss industry trends in Northern Canada.  The meeting with be held during the week of the Nunavut Mining Symposium April 12-15 in Iqualuit, Nunavut.  
 
This years meeting will be held at the Nova Inn, 923 Federal Road, Iqualuit, Nunavut on April 14, 2010 between 9am and 12pm. 
 
Guest Speakers
 
Aaron Dornan from Environment Canada will review their recently released technical guidance document “Technical Requirements for Collapsible Fabric Storage Tanks (Bladders)” that was published on December 17, 2009. This document is a milestone for the fuel storage industry and is the result of hard work and the cooperation of Environment Canada, Indian Northern Affairs Canada and industry. 
 
Bernie MacIsaac from Indian Northern Affairs Canada will review challenges and successes that INAC inspectors had in the field in 2009.
 
Paul Reichard from SEI Industries Ltd. will provide information on the latest technical developments and product improvements for collapsible fuel tanks and secondary containment berms. 
 
Additional Topics
Discussion on the Underwriters Laboratories new national standard for secondary containment CAN/ULC-S668.
An open form is encouraged allowing key stakeholders to voice their opinions and concerns on current and future developments for fuel storage and secondary containment.
